Hi! We are Ann & Sarah - Co-Founders of Next Nest.

We each have our own story of how we got here (more on that below), but our goal is the same - to enhance and simplify the lives of seniors and their loved ones. We hope we can help as you journey to your “next nest”!

Meet Ann Cummins

In 2024, Ann’s family used a senior relocation company (first time she’d heard the term) in Kansas City to move her 94-year-old Dad into independent living. “We took him to lunch and a movie and came back to a comfortable, familiar home all ready for him. It was a godsend.”

When looking at a career change from communications consulting, she couldn’t get the experience out of her head. After completing the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) training in move managing as well as aging in place - Next Nest was born!

Ann graduated from the University of Kansas and has a professional background in PR & Communications. She enjoys a murder podcast, pickle/paddle tennis and spending time with her family (not necessarily in that order, but sometimes in that order).

Meet Sarah Diehl

Sarah’s passion for senior living comes from her own experience helping her grandparents transition into new life stages as well as helping her parents organize and update their home of 65 years! Through Next Nest, she hopes to reduce the burden on seniors and their families by providing a supportive network to ease the worries of relocation or aging at home.

A graduate of Indiana University, Sarah has a background in medical sales and non-profit leadership. In addition, she is a certified personal trainer teaching local private classes. Sarah has completed NASMM (National Association of Senior Move Managers) Senior Move Management & Home Specialist training.

In her free time she enjoys running, working out, spending time with her family.
